                Municipal Election Nomination

Mayerthorpe, Alberta, September 20, 2010 – Nominations have closed and the Town of Mayerthorpe will have a Council race on October 18th, 2010. There will be a Mayoral race as Doug McDermid and Kim Connell have submitted their nominations for the position of Mayor. There are 6 Council positions available and 7 residents running.

The following is a list of the residents that have submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming election:

An Advance Vote will be held on the 8th day of October A.D. 2010 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Voting Station will be located in the Council Chambers of the Town Office, 4911 – 52nd Street, Mayerthorpe, Alberta

Voting will take place on the 18th day of October A.D. 2010, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. Voting Station will be located at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5111 – 45th Avenue, Mayerthorpe, Alberta.

 Institutional Voting will take place for residents of that institution on the 18th day of October A.D. 2010 Pleasant View Lodge 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Mayerthorpe Extendicare 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
