Economic Development/Communication Officer

Part Time (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Town of Mayerthorpe has a temporary part time position available for an Economic Development/Communications Officer.  Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Town’s economic development goals and objectives, preparation of agenda packages and minute taking, and coordination of the Town’s public information and community relations functions.

Ideal candidate for this position will possess the following competencies:  a certificate in economic development, business administration or marketing, a certificate in communications, public relations or media relations, and possess the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

This is an hourly position based on 14 hours per week flexible work schedule.  The hourly rate for this position is between $18.18 and $21.21 plus 4% vacation pay.   Work week is based on 7 hours per day between Monday and Friday, with the exception of some evening and weekend commitments.

This competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is recruited.

As a condition of employment a criminal record check must be provided.

Mayerthorpe Cemetery Committee Members at Large

Mayerthorpe Cemetery Committee is seeking Members at Large to part of the Mayerthorpe Cemetery Committee.  The Committee makes recommendations to Council on the operations of the Cemetery, on the budget, etc.  The Committee meets approximately two times per year, or as needed.  Applications to be submitted by 12:00 noon on October 19, 2017.

 

Mayerthorpe Economic Development Board

The Mayerthorpe Economic Development Board has an opening for one (1) new member. This advisory board to Town Council strives to create and promote a positive economic environment for the people of Mayerthorpe and area. Board meets once a month. This is a volunteer position. Community Services Committee Members

Town of Mayerthorpe is seeking 2 Town members to sit on the Mayerthorpe and Area Community Services Committee; which oversees Family and Community Support Service and Recreation and Culture matters for our community.  This is a three year term.
