The Town of Mayerthorpe’s Recreation Services program is designed to support the operation and maintenance of recreation facilities and services in our community.

We also have a grant program designed to support projects and programs that improve recreation opportunities in our community.  View the Recreation Grant Application.

There’s something to do in every season here – playing at one of the town parks, skating at the Exhibition Centre or swimming at the new outdoor community pool.

Learn To Skate

 

 

NO BIKE HELMETS – Proper Ice Helmets are Mandatory

Please No Hockey Gloves, Normal Mitts and Ski Pants are all that are required.

BiKE Track Mayerthorpe BMX and Skate Park

The Town of Mayerthorpe has a newly built (2021) BMX & Skate Park available to residents and visitors free of charge.

 

 

 

Walking Track

The Walking Track schedule is available for use anytime the Exhibition Centre is open.

Toboggan Hill

The Town of Mayerthorpe has a public toboggan hill, located on the North end of town. (Next to the Kinsmen Meeting Centre, just off of Hwy 22 on the left hand side). There is a fire pit available for you to use as well, wood is not provided.

Outdoor Skating Rink

Outdoor Skating rink is available for use. This facility is located next to the Mayerthorpe Curling Rink.  Enclosed buildings are available for use and it is well lit for evening skating.

 

The Outdoor Skating Rink will not be operational for the 2023/2024 season.

A well-maintained, 9 hole, grass greens course, it is said to be one of the nicest in the area. Mayerthorpe 4-H

4-H is designed to develop leadership skills, & enhance public speaking skills. This group meets once a month in a members home at 7:30 pm.  There is no scheduled night.  Anyone from the age of 6-21 can join 4-H.  The program runs from September – June.  The cost for 4-H is $80.00 but is subject to change.  The program topics are based on the interest of the group.   Topics included beef, sheep and scrapbooking.
