Municipal Accountant

The Town is seeking a skilled Municipal Accountant to join our Finance Department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing routine and non-routine journal entries, managing complex reconciliations, and delivering accurate financial data to support key decisions. Working closely with the CAO/CFO, you will identify opportunities to improve policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring our financial processes remain robust and reliable.

West End Bus Companion

The Town of Mayerthorpe is seeking a Casual as needed West End Bus Companion. This position will assist community seniors/persons with disabilities to events within Alberta (load luggage/walkers when required, support seniors on and off the bus)

West End Bus Driver

DRIVER FOR WEST END BUS EXCURSION PROGRAM- Job Posting # 2025-09

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist community seniors/persons with disabilities to events within Alberta (load luggage/walkers when required, support seniors on and off the bus).

Respectful and courteous personality is required

Complete Pre and Post Trip Checklist - clean the buses at the end of each shift

Obey all road laws and regulations as well as driving to the various road conditions we face in Alberta (snow/rain/etc)

Some nighttime and weekend driving required

Good communication skills within the team – ability to work collaboratively with the Companion passenger and ensure the passengers are comfortable.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 Fourth Class Driver’s License

First aid certified

Volunteer Driver's Needed

Driver’s Needed – Volunteer Driver Program

Town of Mayerthorpe is looking for Volunteer Drivers! The Volunteer Driver program is to geared towards helping individuals who do not have access to transportation to and from appointments outside of town. Contact seniors@mayerthorpe.ca or 780-786-2416 ext. 228 if you would like to join the program as a driver or have questions about the program.
